ASUS P4V88 DRIVER
I logged a support call with ASRock but they haven’t been able to resolve either. I understand that the VIA RAID software will actually handle single or non-raid configurations once the drives have been recognised but still no luck on this front and without the drives being seen by my system, I’m unable to partition or do anything sensible with the drives. The GPT is supported in the following versions of Windows: I did note that I only have the rightmost two jumpers on my drive, one of these is the one shown above and now jumpered.
After I had tried this a couple of times pv88 variations including trying the other drive, I shut down the system and disconnected the drive before restarting. For dual channel to work with all four slots filled, the RAM has to be identical in speed and type which means that the maximum RAM you can get it to run with seems to be 2gig 4 x mb ASRock have said that they can’t replicate the issue so it may point to this board being US.

It is currently running with Windows 7 but you will need to be aware that the VIA drivers are only supported up to XP.
I haven’t actually had both of the drives connected together which may affect the RAID part of the software. Any ideas or advice at all would be welcome. Hot plugging the SATA drive which is supposed to be possible, froze the system except for a couple of seconds every couple of minutes whilst hot unplugging the drive restored operation as previously. This does suggest that the driver is at fault.

pv88 At the moment, I have both Samsung drives installed and everything else returned to its normal state with the drives non-functional. Firmware, you may o4v88, but it’s difficult to find. Every time I try to install the ATI drivers is states that it cannot complete the installation and to try installing standard vga graphics first. I need a brainwave or a brain! The time now is Code 10 ‘ followed by an invitation to start the troubleshooter which I did.

Following some further testing I have managed to discover that it appears to be an issue with the amount of installed RAM that causes the problem. One odd thing is that if I reinstall ass Raid driver without the drive connected all goes well and the Device Manager reports a successful installation!
P4v8 I got a concept problem? We receive spam notifications and will take immediate action! I can try that shortly. This behaved just like the Samsung drives usually behave – driver quits and nothing happens.

This was not so and although the drive did spin up, it was not recognised by the Windows software as a viable drive. Hi, Have you solved this problem?. Ssus c Tweak Town Pty Ltd.
