See All Buying Options. This board is beyond amazing, it also has the m2 slot for the Memory booster Acorns. I don’t recommend running this board with Windows because it was a huge pain to get it to recognize 8 GPUs of the same manufacturer. Keep in mind, powering 12 GPUs safely is a challenge. I would have given 5 stars had the seller posted all the steps necessary to make it work, but since I had to figure it out he lost one. You can mix , , and it doesn’t care.

It seems to be a partnership with Colorful, who probably is the one actually making this board.

However, this does not keep me from giving it a 5-star review because this is a great motherboard. So far it works great and I love it. Happy this deal worked out.

BIOSTAR :: Motherboard

I really like the board it seems to be working quite well other than an issue with the ram I bought with this board, not sure if it’s the board or the ram but I will get to the bottom of it real soon. Swapped out a dead motherboard for this one and it was super painless. I love this board. With ethos Ubuntu based linuxI had zero issues getting it to recognize 12 Nvidia GPUs — and not all the same model either. Then it still did not show up in windows until I re-installed the graphic card drivers, and rebooted.

It also supports a wide variety of Ram types as well. I don’t think it is a good idea to connect more than 2 GPUs to the same wire.

The only complaint I have is that the small led strip at the bottom left corner are yellowish and there is no option to be able to turn them off. This board can be a nightmare to setup, but it does in fact run 12 GPUs. I currently only have 3 EVGA tis in it. My ibostar wish would be, that its mining mode was not limited to 6x or 12x cards.

Initially it did not work right out of the box as expected. I suspect absolutely nobody will care because this is a mining board. Hands down best value. I can deal with that, it’s still quite fast.

Then, you might have to run two miners simultaneously that target different GPUs, depending on what miner you use. Some say Legacy 1 or 3 but 2 seems to work just fine. It would be great if diagnostic light information was included in the packaging, or at least the ability to download a manual for this card. I am using a PCIe 4 port usb3 card in a 1x slot to add the 3 additional cards gen 2 Everything else including the 16x slot is running gen1. Price on all others that can handle 12 gpus is insane right now.

Most buyers are probably using cheap m2 cards and won’t give that downside a moment’s thought.
